Land Clearing Ringwood
Selective clearing and block prep across Ringwood and the Maroondah area, worked to the permit line and the overlays, with the healthy trees worth keeping flagged before anything comes down.
Clearing around Ringwood covers a fair range, a suburban build site that needs the footprint stripped, an overgrown rear yard that's gone to woody weeds and self-sown saplings, or a larger Maroondah block where regrowth has taken over the back of the property. Each one starts with a walk-around so I understand what's coming out, what's worth keeping, and exactly where the permit boundary sits.
Overlays matter here more than people expect on the first phone call. Vegetation protection and significant landscape overlays, protected natives and listed trees can all stop a clearing job before it starts. I won't put a saw to anything that needs council sign-off until the paperwork is sorted, and I'll point you at the right form if it isn't. Sound established trees are usually worth keeping anyway, they lift the value of the block and shade the house, so I'll flag the keepers as we walk it.
Once the boundaries are clear the work runs in order, drop the scrub and smaller regrowth first to open up access, then take the larger trees inside the permit line, chip everything that fits the machine, and stockpile the heavier trunk wood in one corner. The mulch can be left in piles for you to use, spread over the site, or carted off, depending on what the next stage of work needs.

Tree Removal in Ringwood, done properly
Qualified arborists with public liability insurance and a locally based crew. Quotes are written and itemised. Sites are left clean.
Fully insured
I hand over a current Certificate of Currency before work starts, without being asked. Check any crew for the same before they work over your roof or a neighbour's fence.
Qualified arborists
The person who quotes your tree is the person who works on it, trained to read decay, cracked unions and root damage rather than just run a saw. That's the difference between a tree saved and a tree sold for removal.
Same day response
Storm damage and hanging limbs get a visit within hours, not a spot in next week's queue. For standard work I'm on site within the week and the written quote follows straight after.
Locally based
I live and work around Maroondah, so I know which streets carry the old oaks and elms, how the sloping blocks move after rain, and what the council asks before a removal.
Careful pruning
Every reduction cut lands on a lateral big enough to take over, never a topping cut that forces weak regrowth. The tree holds its shape and you're not paying to fix it again in a few years.
Right equipment
Chipper, rigging kit and a narrow-access stump grinder travel on every job, with an elevated work platform or crane brought in when that's the safer way to take a tree down.

Tree Removal
Once a tree is past saving I fell it whole where there's room, or take it down in sections by platform, crane or climb, so nothing lands on your roof, garden beds or the block next door.

Do I need a permit to clear vegetation in Ringwood?
Often, yes, depending on tree size, species and the overlays on your title. Maroondah City Council protects native vegetation, listed trees and anything under a vegetation protection or significant landscape overlay. Smaller scrub and exempt species can usually go without paperwork. I'll walk the block, work out what's protected, and steer you to the right form if a permit's needed.
Can you keep the trees that should stay?
Yes, that's normal on a Ringwood job. Native canopy, listed trees or anything inside an overlay gets marked and worked around. I put protection around the trunks of the keepers while the rest of the clearing happens so they don't get knocked by machinery. If a builder needs them protected to a council standard, I can set up tree protection zones to spec.
What happens to the mulch and the timber?
The default is chipping on site and leaving the mulch in piles, so you can spread it, use it, or pay a haulage line to truck it away. Heavier trunk wood gets cut into rounds and either stacked along a fence for firewood or removed if you don't want it kept. I'll ask on the day rather than assume.
Will you check the trees before clearing them?
Yes. The same health-first approach applies, I'd rather keep a sound, valuable tree than clear it just because it's in the general area. On a Ringwood block I'll point out which trees are worth retaining and design the clearing around them, so you don't lose a good oak or gum that didn't need to go.
